Kairos Weekly #4 (August 2-8, 2026): Weekly Activities go server-side, and Budget Deity rolls 18% apart
Two things this week. Gearbox moved the weekly rotation server-side, and we farmed enough copies of the Wildcard reward to put a number on something people usually only estimate: how much two copies of the same Legendary differ. The answer, this time, was about 18%.

The weekly rotation is now delivered from the server automatically.
- If you are online, the current activities are visible in-game.
- They continue to be posted on the official site and in Steam news.
This removes the failure mode where a client that missed an update kept showing last week’s rotation.

A three-boss Encore is unusual — worth noting for the week.
Verified in-game data: five Budget Deity copies, 18% apart
53 pieces logged, levels 42 to 48. Because the Wildcard reward is a guaranteed drop, we could farm the same gun repeatedly and measure the spread directly.

Same gun, same level, same unique effect — 5,836 against 4,960, a spread of roughly 18%. Guaranteed-drop weeks are exactly when you should farm past the first copy, because the first copy has a real chance of being below average.
Licensed parts widen the gap further. The stronger copy above also rolled a Ripper-licensed magazine (full-auto after charge), which changes handling in a way the raw DPS figure does not capture.
Figures are from Lv47 at time of recording. Gear scales with level, so these are not comparable to post-level-cap copies.
What we learned later
- The same “farm the guaranteed reward until the roll is good” approach carried into the following week, where Whiskey Foxtrot became the guaranteed drop (Issue #5).
