Red Text
Short for 'Jellifer'.

Throw it and it bounces, multiplies, and chain-explodes. Splashzone (the same boss as Lead Balloon) drops this legendary grenade, upon impact it creates two copies of itself → each bounces around and explodes everywhere, a shot that is extremely strong against hordes. Its straight, simple trajectory makes it appealing for beginners.

Regarding notation The unique ability “Self-Replication” and Japanese red text “Short for Jellifer.” have been confirmed in-game. Details of the effect text and augment names come from English guides, so some are (unverified).

Red Text Trivia

“Short for ‘Jellifer’.” is a name joke: it pretends that “Jelly” is short for “Jellifer,” an invented name twisted out of something like Jennifer. The Borderlands Wiki lists no source material for it, so it looks like pure wordplay rather than a reference.

What kind of grenade? (Beginner’s perspective)

Unique Effect (Mechanics)

Self-Replication: After throwing, on first impact or after 6 seconds a 100% elemental splashexplosion. At first impact it creates copies (2), and each copy can bounce up to 4 times, causing a 50% elemental splashexplosion each time.

Jelly receives one of nine status augments (each ~11.1%). Targets (analysis):
