Red Text
He was the raddest roach.
When you fire an egg, a flying cockroach hatches from it and chases enemies. A Torgue‑style oddball pistol. It fires eggs instead of bullets, and when it hits a meat (red HP bar) enemy, the cockroach hatches, tracking nearby enemies and exploding on contact. The novelty is perfect, but combat firepower is modest—a “collector‑oriented” single shot.
🧩 Origin of the red text Monster Factory’s Fallout 4 playthrough (around 27:21) line is the source. Monster Factory is a comedy commentary series by Polygon/Maximum Fun that creates outrageous characters in‑game for laughs. The ridiculous compliment “raddest” (the most rad = cool) fits the vibe of Torgue’s goofy weapon where cockroaches hatch from eggs.
Unique Effect (Mechanics)
Flesh Eaters: Egg fired, when it hits a meat (red HP) enemy, a flying cockroach hatches. The cockroach tracks nearby enemies and explodes on contact (even corpses hatch).
- Meat (red bar) only is the biggest quirk. It does not hatch on shield/armor targets
- The cockroach automatically tracks and explodes on enemies as “placed damage”, but each one’s damage is relatively low
- Element can roll as untyped / fire / radiation (Torgue 2‑mode switching also possible)
