Kairos Weekly #8 (August 30 - September 5, 2026): six Husky Friend rolls measured before it became the reward
The Wildcard now guarantees the Husky Friend Tediore shotgun. We had already logged six Lv49 copies on August 30-31, before it became the reward, so here is the DPS range you are farming against: 3,375 to 4,284. Same gun, roughly 27 percent apart.

Verified in-game data: six Husky Friend rolls
Sixteen items logged this week, six of them the exact gun this week’s Wildcard hands out.
A note on where they came from: these six dropped during normal farming on August 30-31, not from the mission. The previous week’s Wildcard reward was Asher’s Rise. That timing is actually useful — it means the benchmark existed before the farm started.
Husky Friend, Lv49, six copies
All six share 66% accuracy and a 2.0s reload. Prefix names are omitted here because our captures come from a Japanese client and we cannot verify the English prefix strings.
| # | DPS | Damage | Magazine | Fire rate | Crit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4,284 | 340 x 10 | 9 | 1.7/s | — |
| 2 | 3,820 | 288 x 10 | 11 | 1.7/s | +33% |
| 3 | 3,799 | 433 x 8 | 18 | 1.3/s | +33% |
| 4 | 3,612 | 288 x 10 | 11 | 1.6/s | — |
| 5 | 3,528 | 412 x 8 | 15 | 1.3/s | +33% |
| 6 | 3,375 | 460 x 8 | 12 | 1.1/s | — |
Three things fall out of this.
The spread is about 27 percent. Lowest 3,375, highest 4,284. Since the Wildcard reward is a repeatable guaranteed drop, a practical stopping point is anything in the 4,200s.
There are two pellet archetypes. Ten-pellet rolls (288-340 x 10) and eight-pellet rolls (412-460 x 8). Both top rolls were ten-pellet. The eight-pellet versions carry bigger magazines (12-18) but fire at only 1.1-1.3/s, and the DPS never catches up. Take eight-pellet if you want fewer reloads, ten-pellet if you want damage.
The +33% crit is a roll, not a fixture. Only three of six had it, and it does not show up in the card’s DPS figure — so comparing DPS alone will mislead you.
The unique Husky Auto-Turret was on all six copies, and on every one of them the card showed the name with no effect text at all. That looks like a display bug rather than six bad rolls.
What prefixes actually change
Two shields logged the same week point the other way.
Extra Medium (Maliwan energy shield), Lv49
| Prefix varies | Capacity | Unique nova damage |
|---|---|---|
| Roll A | 15,887 | 27,287 |
| Roll B | 17,382 | 27,287 |
| Roll C | 15,887 | 27,287 |
Firewerks (Torgue armor shield), Lv50
| Prefix varies | Capacity | Missile Swarm |
|---|---|---|
| Roll A | 9,867 | 3 x 1,487 |
| Roll B | 11,154 | 3 x 1,487 |
In both cases the prefix and the capacity moved, and the unique ability damage stayed identical to the digit. Firewerks capacity differed by 13 percent with no change to missile damage at all.
The practical read: farm for base stats, not for the unique. Rerolling in the hope of a stronger unique effect is not supported by anything in this dataset. For this week’s Husky Friend, the columns that matter are DPS, pellet count and the crit line.
One more Firewerks note: the unique Bundle effect (a missile spawns on kill) measured 7,436 damage per missile on the copy we logged — five times a Missile Swarm missile, and the main reason the shield pulls its weight in a fight.
Everything here is measured at Lv49-50. Version 1.10 raises the cap by 10 on September 10, so this is the last set of numbers for this generation. We will re-measure after the cap opens.

FAQ
What is the Weekly Wildcard Mission for September 3-10, 2026?
Primordial Vault: Fadefields, with the Ticking, Strong and Fortified modifiers. The guaranteed reward is the Husky Friend Tediore shotgun. The Big Encore Boss is a tougher variant of Callis, The Ripper Queen.
Is the Husky Friend worth farming?
Six Lv49 copies measured between 3,375 and 4,284 DPS, a spread of about 27 percent. Ten-pellet rolls took the top two spots. Eight-pellet rolls carry larger magazines but fire slower and did not keep up on DPS.
When does Loveless the Hacker arrive?
September 10, as paid DLC. She deals Corrosive and Radiation damage, and her three Action Skills are Plague Star, Visual Paradox Nexus and Malignant Construct.
Should I reroll for a better unique effect?
Our data says no. Across two different shields, the unique ability damage stayed identical to the digit even as the prefix and capacity changed. Base stats moved a lot, unique numbers did not. Farm for base stats.
