Harlowe is a base-game Vault Hunter running the Gravitar class. Per 2K, she is a former Maliwan combat scientist who brings her own gadgets to the fight, using cryo and radiation to shut down groups and keep her team standing.

Her trait is Entanglement. Enemies hit by her action skills become entangled, and entangled enemies share a portion of the damage they take with each other. Shooting one enemy bleeds into the others around it.

The three action skills

SkillWhat it does
CHROMA AcceleratorFires an unstable energy pocket. It pierces enemies dealing cryo, and detonating it produces a large radiation explosion
Zero-PointLocks a single enemy in stasis, then slams them down on a second input
Flux GeneratorThrown forward to deploy an energy field. Deals cryo, entangles, and grants allies overshield. It can be picked up and re-thrown

Nodes that stay locked even when the maths works

Tier unlocks are normally decided purely by accumulated points. Harlowe has nodes that carry an additional requirement: at least 1 point in a specific earlier node. Two are confirmed in-game on 2026-08-07.

NodePositionAdditional requirement
Cold WeldingCreative Bursts, B1 T3 (max 3)1 point in Carry the One, same branch
EnrichedCreative Bursts, common T3 (max 3)1 point in Elementary, in common

Both follow the same shape: a T3 node naming a specific T1 or T2 node in the same section. The same pattern turned up on Rafa, so treat it as a mechanic rather than a bug.

Equally worth recording is where prerequisites do not exist. Creative Bursts branch 2 has none, so 15 common + 10 in branch 2 = 25 points (level 26) reaches the Demon Core capstone with nothing extra required (confirmed 2026-08-08). Not every T3 is gated.

The unlock rules in general are verified here.

Written guides had her effects shifted by one node

This one has real consequences.

Cross-checking effect descriptions sourced from popular guides against the game, we found that the effect printed on a node was actually the effect of the node before it. Three consecutive hits in the Creative Bursts common section, and three more in Seize the Day (confirmed 2026-08-08).

The offset is confined to a chain in the common section — Neutron Capture, Elementary, Test Subject, Get Up and Go, Elephant’s Foot — and we confirmed the sub-branches are clean.

The practical point: as long as everyone is copying from the same pool of guides, everyone repeats the same error. There is no way to tell without reading it in game.

Elephant’s Foot was not listed in the major written guides at the time we confirmed it.

Tree coverage

Creative Bursts is fully mapped — common section plus all three sub-branches. Capstones sit one per sub-branch, not one per tree: Q-Ball (B1), Demon Core (B2) and The Shattering Light (B3).

Augments occupy a tile but carry no point investment (0 pt to equip), and only one can be equipped at a time, making them an exclusive three-way choice.

FAQ

What level can I get Demon Core at?

Level 26, which is 25 points: 15 in the Creative Bursts common section and 10 inside branch 2. We confirmed in-game that branch 2 carries no per-node prerequisites, so this shortest route works as written (confirmed 2026-08-08).

Why is a skill locked when I have enough points?

Harlowe has nodes with a second requirement on top of the tier cost. Two are confirmed: Cold Welding needs 1 point in Carry the One, and Enriched needs 1 point in Elementary (both confirmed 2026-08-07).

How much damage does Entanglement share?

Written guides say roughly 7% for about 12 seconds, but we have not been able to confirm that in-game, so we do not publish it. What we have confirmed is the in-game display name for the status.
